Q: Do I need to purchase a pass or can I just show up?
A: You cannot access Riverside Acres without having a pass, event ticket, or a cottage booking. If you have not pre-booked then you will have to pay for your pass upon arrival if we have availability.
Q: Do I need to check in when I get there?
A: You bet. When you arrive please head to the Trading Post to check in with one of our staff members.
Q: If it is raining the day of my picnic pass do I get a refund?
A: Unfortunately we do not refund due to bad weather. If you no longer want to use your pass you can give it to a friend or family member to use or pack an umbrella and rubber boots and enjoy the property in the refreshing rain.
Q: Do I need to purchase a pass for all of my children?
A: All visitors, children included, need to purchase a pass. However, children under the age of three are free. If you are bringing children please supervise them closely at all time as the area is large, and the river runs on three sides of the 14 acre property. Riverside Acres Staff is not responsible for supervising children.
Q: Can we bring a camper or ATV's / quads
A: We do not have an area for RV's , in some instances we will have a space to put a small tent for extra sleeping if needed. Our land/walking trails is meant for quiet time so no off road machines allowed. Feel free to bring a bike to explore the local country.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: We love dogs and have several of our own, but they are not allowed at Riverside Acres. We have a local kennel "Paws Inn" that is a 5 star boarding kennel and Kelly would love to welcome your furry family member there. www.pawsinnwestlock.com 780-349-2481
Q: What is the difference between a picnic pass and a coffee time pass?
A: The picnic pass allows you to spend TWO hours at Riverside Acres, whereas a coffee time pass gives you ONE hour and a free coffee. Both of these passes give you access to the full property.
Q: What do I need to bring with me for my Picnic ?
A: Pack your picnic basket, and a blanket or lawn chair for sitting. Don't forget your bug spray, sun screen, towels, and tubes if you're interested in floating on the river. You can head to the Trading Post for a cold treat, a hot coffee, or to purchase some unique goods made my local artists. You will also have access to our poetry walking trail and Labyrinth Path so pack some closed toe shoes as roots are exposed on the trails.
